Portsmouth FC has completed the signing of Northern Ireland under-21 international forward Eoin Kenny from League of Ireland side Dundalk FC.
The 20-year-old right-sided forward joined the League One club after they activated a £34,000 release clause in his contract on July 6, 2026.
Interest from Multiple Clubs
Kenny attracted interest from several Championship, League One, and Scottish Premiership clubs, including Lincoln City and Luton Town.
He ultimately chose to move to Fratton Park, becoming Portsmouth's second summer signing following the arrival of Jordan Williams from Barnsley.
The club is also in active negotiations to sign Estonian international midfielder Rocco Shein from Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK.
Kenny's Record at Dundalk
Kenny made 95 appearances across all competitions for Dundalk, scoring 21 goals.
In the 2026 League of Ireland season, he recorded five goals and three assists in 22 appearances.
He was left out of the squad for a 2-1 defeat against Shelbourne as the transfer progressed.
Manager Confirms Departure
Dundalk manager Ciarán Kilduff confirmed the imminent departure before the match at Tolka Park.
"Eoin has been flying but the reality of a player flying is, it looks like Eoin will be leaving the club in the next 24 hours," Kilduff said.
The club hierarchy finalized the deal over the weekend, officially ending Kenny's tenure at the Irish club where he came through the youth academy.
