Whitstable recorded their first Kent League Premier Division cricket victory of the season on Saturday, May 23, 2026, defeating Minster by 50 runs.

The win came as the club also announced a new football manager.

Young all-rounder Jaydn Denly, son of captain Sam Denly, took 5-19 to dismiss Minster for 176 after they chased 227.

James Speer top-scored for Minster with 41.

Earlier, Australian overseas player Cullan Larkin hit an unbeaten 40 and shared a crucial 73-run partnership with Will Cook to help Whitstable reach 226-9.

Former Bangladesh international Enamul Haque led Minster's bowling with 5-22.

In a separate development, non-league football side Whitstable Town appointed former Ipswich Town winger Lee Martin as manager, according to the Ipswich Star.

Other Premier Division Results

Tunbridge Wells secured their third consecutive league win, beating Bexley by eight wickets.

Nineteen-year-old Dawkins smashed an unbeaten 109 off 86 balls, with nine fours and eight sixes, as his team reached the target in the 30th over.

Dawkins previously scored a first-class career-best 180 for Kent against Durham.

For Bexley, Ben Aldred (59), Zeph Netherway (52), and George Haley (50) contributed to a total of 230 all out, with Matthew Barker taking 4-25.

Bromley remained undefeated with a seven-wicket home win over St Lawrence & Highland Court.

Away captain Matt Hammond top-scored with 41 in a total of 168 all out, as Ryan Cartwright, Marcus Lilley, Archie Ramanathan, and Aditya Kumar each took two wickets.

Sean Thompson hit an unbeaten 36 to guide Bromley home.

Hayes defeated Blackheath at home, inspired by William MacVicar's unbeaten 105. Captain Alex Blake (67) and opener William Harby (59) helped Hayes reach 326-4.

MacVicar also took 4-30 with the ball. Blackheath's George Wells and Charlie-Sid Speller scored half-centuries in vain.

Sevenoaks Vine beat early basement side Lordswood as Bradley Hope (128 not out) and captain Luke Schlemmer (108) powered them to 300-3.

Former Kent bowler George Garrett took 3-20 to dismiss Lordswood for 177 in the 37th over, despite Joe Gordon's 70.
