Free agent linebacker Von Miller publicly and privately lobbied the Denver Broncos on Wednesday, May 28, 2026, for a roster spot ahead of what would be his 16th NFL season.

The 37-year-old defensive veteran is seeking a return to his former team while promoting his charity, Von's Vision, in Commerce City, according to reports from Bleacher Report and Denver Broncos On SI.

Miller spent the 2025 season with the Washington Commanders, appearing in all 17 regular-season games and recording 26 total tackles alongside nine sacks, his highest single-season sack count since 2018.

The former Super Bowl 50 MVP addressed local media, including Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post, regarding his desire to rejoin the organization and the value he provides.

"I lobby. I do lobby," said Miller.

"I lobby publicly, I lobby privately. I do lobby.

I think there's no question the type of environment I bring to a locker room and to a team.

I don't like to pat myself on the back, but at 37 years old I can still roll out of bed and rush the quarterback.

I'm still a great guy in the locker room, I bring great energy and I'm going to make sure everybody is ready to go."

Miller clarified that he is not seeking a starting role with the Broncos, expecting instead to replicate the limited defensive rotational presence he maintained during his tenure in Washington.
