Layne Riggs secured a dramatic final-lap victory during the rain-delayed NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday night, May 29, 2026.

Riggs executed a decisive pass to claim the Allegiance 200, driving the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford.

He started sixth on the final restart with 16 laps remaining and passed defending race winner Rajah Caruth on the backstretch of the final lap, aided by a draft from teammate Chandler Smith.

The victory marked the second consecutive and third win of the 2026 season for the 23-year-old North Carolina native.

Riggs crossed the finish line 0.468 seconds ahead of Caruth after post-race inspections confirmed the results without any issues.

Riggs dominated early, leading the opening 90 laps and winning both Stage 1 and Stage 2.

Varied pit strategies temporarily dropped him to the fifth row for the final stage restart before his late-race resurgence.

The race carried significant emotional weight as Caruth drove the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, a vehicle originally scheduled to be driven by NASCAR veteran Kyle Busch, who passed away at age 41 from sepsis on May 21, 2026.

"Not till I passed him and cleared him," said Riggs about when he felt confident in the win.

Riggs noted that his confidence built steadily at the track where his father, Scott Riggs, previously won the inaugural series race in 2001 alongside consecutive victories from 2002 to 2003.
