Peru equalized in the 81st minute when Garcés pounced on a loose ball after a corner kick.
Just minutes later, Jairo Vélez converted another loose ball from a corner to complete the comeback.

His tenure began with a 2-0 loss to Senegal and a 2-2 draw with Honduras in March.
Haiti had previously recorded a 4-0 win over New Zealand and a 1-1 draw with Iceland.
They will open their World Cup campaign against Scotland on June 13, followed by Brazil on June 19 and Morocco five days later.
