Six athletes from the Greater Lafayette area secured podium finishes at the IHSAA girls track and field state finals on Friday.
West Lafayette and Harrison High School each had two athletes among the top eight in their events.

Three juniors led the local contingent with strong performances.
North White junior Olivia Dahlenburg placed sixth in the high jump, clearing 5 feet, 6 inches.

Harrison junior Eva Stokes rebounded from a 12th-place finish in the shot put to take seventh in the discus with a throw of 138 feet, 7 inches.

Faith Christian junior Ashley Caplinger also claimed seventh place in the 800 meters, breaking her own school record with a time of 2:11.75 at North Central High School.
