Oregon responded by scoring one run in the second inning on an infield single by Naulivou Lauaki.

The Ducks added two more runs in the third inning when Drew Smith doubled to score a run and later crossed home plate on a single by Brayden Jacksa.

The Ducks tied the game 4-4 in the fifth inning on a run-scoring groundout by Burke-Lee Mabeus.

Oregon took its first lead of the super regional in the seventh inning when a runner advanced on a passed ball and scored on a groundout against pitcher Thomas Burns.

Pitching and Next Opponent

Texas starting pitcher Ruger Riojas threw 111 pitches into the sixth inning, allowing four runs and walking a season-high four batters.

Oregon starter Will Sanford threw 98 pitches into the middle innings before being relieved by Tanner Bradley.

The victory improves the overall record for Texas to 45-13, while Oregon concludes its season with a 43-18 record.
