"We're really at the mercy of the rehab and the docks in terms of what that looks like in the next steps of getting out on the grass.

But really feel no pressure. I think he's done a phenomenal job."

Despite trade rumors regarding whether he should focus on offense or defense, Hunter said he is solely focused on returning to the field.

"It didn't bother me," Hunter told ESPN. "They've been doing that my whole career.

I've got to get back on the field first. I'm excited to just be able to get back on the field and work with the guys."

Defensive Role and Team Plans

The Jaguars plan to increase Hunter's defensive snaps as a projected starting cornerback alongside Montaric Brown. Coen confirmed that Hunter will still see offensive utilization.

Veteran defensive end Josh Hines-Allen weighed in on the positional debate, emphasizing that staying healthy is the top priority for the versatile second-year player.

"So being healthy.

I think it's just a priority No. 1 for him, but obviously he can impact on the offensive side of the ball and the defensive side of the ball," Hines-Allen said.

"And so if he can be on the field all the time, then that's going to make our team better."

Hines-Allen added that having Hunter on defense would lead to "stickier coverage, more sacks, more pressures."

Offensively, Jacksonville boasts depth with wide receivers Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Parker Washington, giving Hunter flexibility across both sides of the ball.

"And then offensively, go-up-and-get-it, and he's a go-up-and-get-it type of guy, and we love to see a lot of splash plays," Hines-Allen said.

"We need that big playmaking ability, and he's going to be one of the best to do it for a long time."

Before his injury, Hunter recorded eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams in London.
