Pundit Arno Vermeulen praised the left-back during a recent broadcast of VoetbalPraat, highlighting his modern playing style and confidence on the field.

"On that position, he is very interesting because he is a very attacking left wing-back. That is of great value in modern top football," said Vermeulen.

Vermeulen emphasized that the young defender has shown great potential due to his age and attacking output.

"He scores goals and provides assists, is only twenty years old, and has enormous audacity on the field.

I think he is a very interesting player for clubs," said Vermeulen.

Analyst Kenneth Pérez offered a more critical assessment during the same discussion, questioning whether the high praise was premature.

"But if you are top-tier, you can also defend well. Top-tier is truly great.

If we call this top-tier, what is above that? We make everything special," said Pérez.

Following input from Jan Joost van Gangelen and Sjoerd Mossou regarding Rots' standing within the domestic league, Pérez clarified his expectations for the defender's progression to an elite team.

"Not effortlessly, but I think he can keep up. That also depends on many factors," said Pérez.

Pérez concluded by tempering expectations regarding the player's potential transition to a higher level of competition.

"Now we all like that he runs and flies across the field. He is a truly good player, but at PSV other things matter," said Pérez.
