Rival NBA executives are monitoring the trade availability of Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. as the team enters the 2026 offseason.
League sources indicate that teams are questioning if the 27-year-old forward fits Brooklyn's long-term rebuilding timeline.

Porter is set to enter the final year of his contract, which will pay him $40.8 million for the 2026/27 season before expiring next summer.
The Nets are currently rebuilding their roster, having added five rookies last year and holding the No. 6 overall selection in the upcoming June 23 draft.
Potential Landing Spots
According to reports from Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, several franchises are expected to inquire about the forward if an extension is not reached.
The Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers, and Detroit Pistons have been identified by NBA insider Jake Weinbach as potential landing spots.
"Porter Jr., who turns 28 on June 29th, drew trade interest from teams, including the Golden State Warriors, as the deadline neared," wrote Scotto.
The Warriors reportedly weighed offering a first-round draft pick for Porter hours before the February trade deadline.
Financial constraints may complicate a renewed pursuit this summer unless Golden State moves the expiring contract of Jimmy Butler, who is currently rehabilitating a torn ACL.

In addition, Terance Mann was brought up in expanded discussions involving Porter Jr., but there were complications regarding his involvement, which would’ve necessitated a potential third team, HoopsHype has learned.
