Lonchuk highlighted the work ethic of veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson, who picked up towels and bottles left on the field.
He also commended Tino Livramento and Toney, naming the hat-trick scorer as the standout performer.
"He was super aggressive — not in a way that he is going to hurt people but in getting close to our players, with intensity," Lonchuk said of Toney.
"It was impressive to see that kind of player with that career doing that in a friendly game."
The penalty shootout consisted of five spot-kicks instead of the initially planned ten. The exact results were kept confidential.
"The penalty shootout was more important for us than for them," Lonchuk said.
Lonchuk observed that the main difference between the teams was the speed of decision-making and execution.
"Their decision-making and execution is more in sync, so they need less time to actually do any actions," he explained.
Despite not playing, Jude Bellingham became the center of attention for photographs among Miami players after the match.
"We were super respectful, but if you ask me who got the most pictures with our players, it was Bellingham for sure!"
Lonchuk said.
