With the win, Oklahoma improved to 2-0 in the tournament and is now one victory away from reaching the championship series, according to NCAA.

Pitching Duel Highlights the Game
Oklahoma freshman right-hander Xander Mercurius earned the win, striking out nine batters and allowing three runs over 7.1 innings.
Georgia starter Caden Aoki pitched a complete game of eight innings, striking out six and giving up four runs after a difficult three-run first inning.
The game also featured a historic moment: Georgia's Kolby Branch and Oklahoma's Kyle Branch became the first pair of brothers to face each other in a Men's College World Series game.
Their family attended wearing custom jerseys supporting both teams.

When asked by ESPN about which team they supported, the father, Rusty Branch, joked about their rooting strategy.
"Whoever we think can beat Texas the easiest, we're rooting for the other team to win," he said.
Georgia attempted a late comeback in the eighth inning when Daniel Jackson hit a 447-foot solo home run to cut the deficit to 4-3.
The Bulldogs threatened again in the top of the ninth, putting runners on first and second with one out, but Oklahoma secured the final two outs to end the game.
Georgia will play Texas on Tuesday at 8 p. m.
