Michigan State Police have launched an investigation after a deceased newborn infant was discovered inside a portable restroom at the Electric Forest music festival in Rothbury, Michigan.
The body was found on Sunday morning, June 28, 2026, during routine maintenance by an employee of the festival's restroom vending company.

The infant, described as a neonate—a baby four weeks old or younger—was located in the camping section of the festival grounds.
State troopers stated there is no known threat to the public, and the investigation into the circumstances of the death is ongoing.

Festival Final Day
The annual four-day electronic dance music event was on its final day when the discovery occurred. The festival began its 14th year on Thursday.
