A homeowner in southern Indiana was shocked when a security camera captured an Amazon delivery driver driving across the lawn instead of using the driveway.
The driver, operating a blue Ford Focus, casually drove over the grass to deliver a package. She then performed a three-point turn and left, leaving tire marks behind.

The property has a clear driveway, making the incident even more perplexing.
Amazon Responds to Lawn Damage
Homeowner Elisha Magill contacted Amazon after the incident. The company offered to repair the damage to the yard.
In a statement to USA Today, Amazon spokesperson Leigh Anne Gullet said, “We hold delivery partners to high standards, and the actions shown in this video are clearly unacceptable.
We’ve connected with the customer to make things right, and the delivery partner is no longer delivering Amazon packages.”

Amazon Flex drivers are independent contractors, not employees.
While Amazon likely had no legal obligation to repair the lawn, doing so may provide positive public relations.
