Two iconic French brands, Alpine and Lacoste, have teamed up to create a one-off electric hot hatch: the A290 Rallye concept named 'Beware of the Crocodile – Alpine Lacoste A290 Rallye'.

The car's exterior is predominantly white, with red accents inspired by the crocodile's tongue on the Lacoste logo.

Flared wheel arches, a revised front bumper with red highlights on the covered headlights and DRLs, and extensive forged carbon fiber mark the exterior changes.

It rides on white aero-disc-inspired rally wheels and retains the roof scoop from the standard A290 Rallye.

Striking Rear and Themed Cabin

The most dramatic feature is at the rear: the rear window is replaced by a large red crocodile head, which appears to emerge from a pool of red water—actually the car's red-painted ducktail spoiler.

Inside, the cabin is saturated in red.

Hundreds of tiny crocodile motifs cover the dashboard, while Lacoste's petit piqué red fabric adorns the racing seats and door panels.

The embroidery was done by the same firm that produces the embroidered crocodiles on Lacoste's polo shirts, and 3D printing was used to reduce seat weight.

Alpine F1 driver Pierre Gasly and Lacoste ambassador Pierre Niney star in a short commercial promoting the partnership.
