Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach is set to face Tyson Fury in a boxing bout in Pattaya, Thailand, on Friday, July 24, 2026.

The fight will serve as a warm-up for Fury ahead of a planned showdown with Anthony Joshua later this year.

According to a BBC report, the 46-year-old Wach holds a professional record of 39 wins and 13 losses, with 20 knockouts.

However, he has struggled recently, winning only three of his last 10 fights and suffering a second-round stoppage against Moses Itauma in July 2024.

The Thailand event takes place just 24 hours before Joshua returns to the ring on July 25, 2026, against Kristian Prenga in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Both former champions must win their respective July bouts to finalize their planned multi-million dollar meeting in late 2026.

Negotiations for the all-British mega-fight advanced significantly after promoter Eddie Hearn announced in April that Joshua had signed the contract to face Fury.

That agreement followed Fury's return from a 15-month retirement, where he secured a points victory over Russia's Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While Fury continues his training camp in Pattaya, analysts note that Wach has previously extended top heavyweights, including taking Wladimir Klitschko to a unanimous decision in 2012.

Speculation persists that the eventual Fury-Joshua spectacle will be hosted in the United States due to the financial backing of Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh.
