The transfer includes a significant sell-on clause that benefits Real Madrid.
The Spanish club retained 50 percent of Rodriguez's economic rights when they sold him to Elche, meaning they will receive 12.5 million euros from this transaction.
Medical and Contract Details
Rodriguez is scheduled to travel to England on Monday to undergo a medical examination. If successful, he will sign a five-year contract with the Premier League side.
The move sets a new record for Elche, becoming the most expensive sale in the club's history.
It surpasses the previous record of 16 million euros paid by Atletico Madrid for Rodrigo Mendoza, as reported by Montevideo.
