NBC has officially canceled the action crime thriller series The Hunting Party after two seasons.
The decision came after the options on the show's cast expired, ending all efforts by Universal Television to find a new network or streaming home.

Despite strong viewership on Peacock and Netflix, neither platform chose to finance a third season.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the show received an 80% to 81% positive audience score but only an 18% positive rating from critics.

The cast included Melissa Roxburgh, Nick Wechsler, Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, and Sara Garcia, with guest appearances by Kelsey Grammer and Eric McCormack as antagonists.
Production insiders confirmed that creators unsuccessfully shopped the package to alternative outlets before the contract deadline passed.
Initial optimism about finding a new home faded as financial and licensing negotiations stalled.
