AZ Alkmaar general director Merijn Zeeman has confirmed that midfielder Sven Mijnans is expected to complete a transfer to PSV Eindhoven.
The announcement came during an appearance on the television program De Avondetappe on July 5, 2026.

Zeeman acknowledged the ongoing negotiations, stating, "We will definitely announce it sometime in the coming days."
He admitted that preventing Mijnans' departure would be difficult given the current market situation.
"It is clear that something is going on. We don't want to lose him, but I think it will happen," Zeeman said.
When asked about reports of a €13 million transfer fee, the director reacted with amusement without confirming the exact figure.
Zeeman also discussed defender Mateo Chávez, who is currently playing in the World Cup with Mexico and recently scored against the Czech Republic.

"That is fantastic, it was great to see.
It was already his big dream to go to this World Cup, in his home country, when he joined AZ.
It was a huge celebration that he made it. That he also scored is absolutely fantastic," Zeeman said.
He added, "Am I immediately thinking about his transfer value? No. I rather think: I hope no clubs come.
