Local residents initially struggled to find the correct authorities to report the unmarked objects before reaching out to Scobie for assistance.
"The people that actually found the objects on the beach contacted me because that's what people here do at Forrest Beach, and they were asking who they should ring," said Scobie.

Her family stepped in to manage the situation while part of the beach was cordoned off by emergency personnel to prevent potential explosions.
"My husband was tied up at work, so I rang my dad and he was the one that took the police down to the space balls," said Scobie.
International news organizations quickly flooded the remote coastal community with inquiries regarding the true nature of the debris.
"Everyone wants to know what are they, that's the big question still that we really don't have any definitive answers to," said Scobie.
Local community members confirmed that the finders did not suffer any negative medical consequences from handling the objects.
"But also making sure that the people that did find it, they haven't reported any ill effects, and they're still alive and kicking."
The Australian Space Agency announced this week that the objects appear to be pressure vessels originating from a space launch vehicle.
"We have one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Our little town is virtually unknown, but it should be known by everyone because it is a magic place, and we've been able to share a little glimpse of that," said Scobie.
The objects have since been removed from the beach, and authorities are expected to attempt to return them to their original country of origin.

"You know, what a way to put yourself on the map!" said Scobie.
