Chery has unveiled the interior of the upcoming Freelander 8, signaling a major departure from the cheap, plasticky cabins that once defined the brand.
The cabin adopts a minimalist design centered around a pillar-to-pillar panoramic display at the base of the windshield.

According to the company, it represents a “generational revolution in flagship cabins,” emphasizing luxury, space, and technology.
Dual Screens and Premium Materials
In front of the driver, the display shows a speedometer and gear indicator, while the middle section houses vehicle information.
The passenger side features a large clock, though the screens are likely customizable and can double as an entertainment system.
A freestanding 15.6-inch rectangular infotainment screen sits on the dashboard, complemented by a row of metallic-finish physical switchgear.

The center console features wood trim and a dual wireless smartphone charger.
Other details include a chunky steering wheel, metallic accents, minimalist door handles, an ambient lighting system, and a driver monitoring system.
According to Yiche, the Freelander 8 will offer a 46.3-inch panoramic display, a 15.6-inch infotainment system, a 256-color ambient lighting system, and a fragrance diffuser that evokes the scent of an English manor.
The model also features a “LADY” front passenger seat, described as highly adjustable for maximum comfort.

Set to arrive later this year, the Freelander 8 is expected to use a range-extended powertrain with a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine and a 60.3 kWh battery pack, providing an electric-only range of 137 miles (221 km).
