Real Madrid is evaluating a temporary summer exit for 18-year-old midfielder Franco Mastantuono, seeking a direct loan arrangement without a purchase option.
The Spanish club views the Argentine prospect as a long-term project and firmly excludes any permanent transfer during the current window.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on July 22, 2026, that the strategy mirrors the development path previously used for Endrick.
"Real Madrid is ready to give green light to Franco Mastantuono's loan departure this summer.
No buy option clause; straight loan as Mastantuono is seen in similar position to Endrick in January," Romano said.
More than five clubs in Spain and abroad have expressed interest in the midfielder.
Romano explained that Real Madrid received several inquiries from La Liga clubs and international outfits over the past two weeks regarding a temporary deal.
"Real Madrid is not interested in permanent transfer, so Real Madrid keeps believing in the player. They signed him one year ago.
They know he needs some time to develop and adapt," Romano added.

The club will discuss the loan possibility directly with Mastantuono, his agent, and his family.
"Mastantuono can decide.
He has proposals from Spain, but also from abroad, and then he would return to Real Madrid," Romano said.
Newly appointed manager José Mourinho approved the loan proposal after Mastantuono experienced an irregular first year in Madrid following his transfer from River Plate last August.
Mastantuono registered three goals and one assist across 35 appearances in his debut campaign under managers Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa, while battling pubalgia and squad competition.
English side Fulham, currently managed by former Real Madrid coach Arbeloa, has emerged as a primary contender to sign the Argentine on loan.

Although former club River Plate explored bringing the midfielder back to Argentina, Real Madrid management prioritizes keeping him within top-tier European leagues to continue his development.
