Salah's lawyer has reportedly arrived in Istanbul to continue negotiations.

Besiktas issued a statement denying earlier rumors of a completed agreement, emphasizing the importance of official confirmation before announcements.

Fabrizio Romano commented, "Besiktas is indeed pursuing Salah's transfer, and they did make an offer. However, we must await an official agreement before confirmation.

Salah has also received offers from MLS and Saudi clubs, so Besiktas is maintaining discretion until reaching a comprehensive agreement."

If Salah joins Besiktas, he could be reunited with former Liverpool teammate Darwin Núñez, who is reportedly close to finalizing a loan deal with the Turkish club for the 2026–27 season.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Núñez is "edging closer to an agreement" with Besiktas, and Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur reported the deal could be worth €4 million, with Núñez viewing the project positively.

Núñez is seeking to leave Saudi club Al-Hilal after falling out of favor there, and Besiktas could be his next destination if the loan deal is finalized.
