The Conglomeration successfully defended the AEW World Trios Championship at the AEW Redemption Buy In pre-show on July 26 in Montreal.

Roderick Strong, Kyle O'Reilly, and Orange Cassidy defeated Jay Lethal, Blake Christian, and Lee Johnson of The Lethal Twist in a 12-minute match.

The contest featured a back-and-forth exchange between Cassidy and Lethal.

Cassidy nearly won after countering Lethal's King's Elbow into a pin attempt and later landing a Stundog Millionaire.

Lethal responded with a Lethal Injection, but a delayed count due to a referee distraction allowed Strong to break up the pinfall.

Strong and O'Reilly then executed the final sequence. Strong delivered a Heartage to Lethal before driving Cassidy onto him for the match-ending pinfall.

This victory marks the seventh successful title defense for The Conglomeration since they won the belts from The Dogs at Dynasty in Vancouver.

The Lethal Twist, who have competed together in AEW and Ring of Honor since March, were denied their first championship victory.

The pre-show also featured a segment honoring French-Canadian wrestling legends Raymond and Jacques Rougeau, hosted by Matt Menard.

After Rocky Romero of the Don Callis Family interrupted, Menard and the Rougeau brothers ejected him from the ring.
