He added: "There are highlights, such as the 2003 All-Ireland with Tyrone and Down reaching the 2010 final under James McCartan, before Jack O’Connor recruited him to coach Kerry to an All-Ireland in 2022.

Tally's Quiet Influence in the Background
Former Mayo goalkeeper David Clarke also commented on Tally's presence within the squad during training sessions earlier in the season.
"I spent a small bit of time around the squad at the start of this year," said David Clarke.
Clarke noted how Tally operates quietly in the background while supporting head manager Andy Moran.

"Paddy Tally seems like a real quiet guy that demands respect but doesn’t necessarily demand the limelight," said Clarke.
Clarke elaborated on the dynamic between the management team during sessions. "Andy, from what I could see, was the main man on the training pitch," said Clarke.
He added that Tally's experience with championship-winning teams offers additional guidance to the panel.
"Paddy is obviously doing his part, he’s there in the background. Even on the sideline you don’t see him having a major presence," said Clarke.
Clarke reflected on the value of external perspectives entering the team setup.
"Andy is the manager but there is that support around him. I suppose it’s a balance as well, that when people come in it doesn’t upset the rhythm.
