The technical issue lasted several hours, primarily affecting players in the US, while users in Asia remained largely unaffected, according to reports on social media and Reddit.
Xbox Support's official status page confirmed major outages impacting account profiles, store subscriptions, and mobile applications.
"We are aware that some users are encountering errors when attempting to sign in, see your game library, or launch games.
Our engineers are actively working to mitigate the issue," the official Xbox Support account posted on X.

The server downtime drew criticism from players unable to access single-player campaign games like Halo: Campaign Evolved, which enforce mandatory online connectivity despite lacking multiplayer components.
This disruption follows a similar network outage experienced by Sony's PlayStation Network the previous week.
