According to outage monitoring platform Downdetector, user reports spiked shortly after midday.

Payment processing errors accounted for over half of the logged complaints across multiple retail banks and fintech platforms, including Revolut and Monzo.

The technical glitch primarily impacted the UK's Faster Payments network, causing severe delays and duplicate processing concerns.

Transferred funds vanished from sending accounts without instantly appearing in destination balances.

Lloyds Customer Service issued a statement on X clarifying the operational status during the disturbance.

"We're investigating an issue affecting Faster Payments, which may cause delays. If you've already made a payment, please don't send it again.

Check it has gone through first to avoid duplicate payments," Lloyds Customer Service stated.

The bank later urged affected account holders to verify transaction records before reattempting any failed transfers.

Similarly, Monzo confirmed technical difficulties within its system while working toward a rapid resolution for affected user accounts.

"We're sorry for any trouble you're currently having with transfers. We're aware of an issue that is temporarily causing issues.

We're currently working on a fix to get us back up and running, as soon as possible.

Thanks for bearing with us in the meantime," Monzo stated on X.

Barclays UK Help directly responded to individual customer inquiries regarding delayed transfers while monitoring system performance.

"I'm sorry you've been impacted by this issue. We’re continuing to monitor and investigate so hopefully it's fixed soon," Barclays UK Help stated.
