A new Toyota documentary has offered a glimpse of the next-generation Corolla, and it appears to closely resemble the concept shown last year.
The current Corolla has been on sale since 2018, and while still competitive, a replacement is imminent.

The documentary, produced by Toyota and NHK in Japan, shows staffers in a future vehicle presentation where the new Corolla appears on screen.
Although the design is blurred, the car's long, sleek sedan shape is visible, mirroring the Corolla concept from October.
Key design cues include a sharp nose and distinctive side windows that slope diagonally down the door panel, similar to the concept.

The lower door lines also appear to carry over, ending in a triangle, and the roofline stretches rearward like a crossover.
Powertrain and GR Model
Toyota has confirmed the next Corolla will offer hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and battery-electric powertrains.
A high-performance GR model is also expected to join the lineup.

It remains unclear whether the sedan will be the only body style, or if a hatchback version will also be offered.
