The Anaheim Ducks and Montreal Canadiens completed a minor league trade on Monday, July 27, 2026, exchanging forward Sean Farrell for forward Sasha Pastujov.
Both players are currently unsigned for the 2026-27 NHL season.

Pastujov, 23, joins the Canadiens organization after finishing his third professional season with the AHL's San Diego Gulls.
He set career highs with 21 goals, 36 assists, and 57 points in 71 games during the 2025-26 campaign.
Originally drafted by the Ducks in the third round of the 2021 NHL Draft, Pastujov has recorded 48 goals and 77 assists for 125 points in 160 career AHL games with San Diego.

Farrell, 24, moves to the Ducks after playing all 72 games for the AHL's Laval Rocket in 2025-26.
He achieved personal bests with 36 assists and 53 points.
A fourth-round pick by Montreal in the 2020 NHL Draft, Farrell has 46 goals and 79 assists for 125 points in 186 career AHL games over three seasons with the Rocket.

He also played six NHL games with the Canadiens, scoring one goal, following a collegiate career at Harvard University where he tallied 30 goals and 81 points in 58 games.
