Professional wrestler Becky Lynch spoke about her ongoing absence from WWE television during an interview on July 27 on SiriusXM's Inside the Ropes, claiming the company's programming currently needs her presence.
Lynch has been off television since early June, following a first-round loss in the Queen of the Ring 2026 tournament on the June 8 episode of Raw.
The absence came after she dropped the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship to Sol Ruca at the Clash in Italy event in May, ending her third reign with the title.
Addressing her time away from the ring, Lynch asserted that her absence highlights her value to the show's overall entertainment quality.
"We do need me," said Lynch. "Sometimes you gotta let 'em know.
Sometimes you gotta point the torch. You gotta be the lighthouse.
You gotta say, okay guys, what did you want? What did you want?
Well, here's the light. Here's the rest.
Here's what it looks like without me. Do you like it?
Do you like it? Is it exciting?
Is it fun? No!
It's not! It needs more Becky Lynch, and then you come back and then everybody goes, I knew it.
It was her all along."
WWE has not officially announced a scheduled return date for Lynch to featured television programs.
