Lexus has been spotted testing a camouflaged prototype of its updated RX luxury crossover at the Nürburgring circuit.
The vehicle showcases interior enhancements and minor exterior revisions.
Exterior and Interior Changes
The front of the prototype features a wider lower bumper and redesigned side air intakes. At the rear, the amount of unpainted plastic cladding has been reduced.
Design cues from the new-generation Lexus ES may be incorporated, including a spindle grille integrated into the bodywork.
Inside, the cabin is expected to receive a central display measuring roughly 14 inches.
A modernized digital instrument cluster, updated steering wheel controls, and a revamped infotainment interface are also part of the upgrades.
Physical climate control buttons will be retained.
Powertrain options remain unchanged, including turbocharged gasoline engines, traditional hybrids, and plug-in hybrid variants.
The refreshed RX is anticipated to debut as a 2027 model, with a launch window from late 2026 to early 2027.
The RX continues to be Lexus's best-selling vehicle in 2026, prompting the manufacturer to preserve the mechanical architecture while modernizing the interior experience.
