Official guidance from AMD management projects total second-quarter revenue of around $11.2 billion, which implies approximately 46% year-over-year revenue growth.

That marks an acceleration from the 38% growth rate recorded during the first quarter.

First-quarter data center revenue climbed 57% year-over-year to $5.8 billion, propelled by purchases of EPYC server chips and Instinct AI accelerators.

Overall non-GAAP earnings per share rose 43% during the same three-month period.

On technical indicators, AMD traded near its 20-day simple moving average of $533.06, remaining above its 50-day moving average of $508.48 and its 200-day moving average of $305.68.

Its relative strength index stood at 49.66, indicating neutral momentum heading into the earnings webcast at 5 p.
