The liquidation of Dutch entrepreneur Hennie van der Most's remaining commercial real estate portfolio will expand on September 22, 2026, to cover additional properties including the former Speelstad Oranje amusement park and his childhood home, auction house Vastgoed Veiling announced.
The move follows the bankruptcy of the 76-year-old former Quote 500 member after his Rivoli amusement park project in Rotterdam collapsed.

The failed project absorbed more than 60 million euros of his personal capital over 14 years before municipal authorities canceled the initiative due to delays.
A lender ordered the auction of the unopened Rotterdam park, which was bought in April for 6.5 million euros by entrepreneur Wim Beelen.
The sale proceeds proved insufficient to cover Van der Most's outstanding debts, leaving 30 creditors claiming nearly 50 million euros.

Properties to Be Auctioned
According to auction house director Richard Dieteren, the Speelstad Oranje property in Drenthe will go under the hammer on September 22, 2026, after remaining vacant since 2015.
Six days later, on September 28, 2026, the Schuinesloot industrial park will be auctioned, generating nearly 700,000 euros in annual rental income from partial leases.
Regional platform RTV Oost reported that Van der Most's childhood residence will also be auctioned, leaving him with only a villa in Gorssel that is currently subject to an asset seizure.
