Gordon Murray Special Vehicles is set to introduce a new supercar this week, adding to the excitement of Monterey Car Week.
The model will be unveiled on August 14 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, and the company promises it will be one of the most “exclusive, lightweight, driver-focused supercars in the world.”

A Familiar Yet Modern Design
The lone teaser image shows a car that bears a striking resemblance to the S1 LM introduced last year.
However, the upcoming model features a unique front end with more traditional headlights, a long windshield, and pronounced front fenders.
The classic supercar body mixes elements from the McLaren F1 and the S1 LM, with a roof-mounted intake, NACA ducts in the doors, and a clean rear end without a wing.
No details on the powertrain have been revealed, but the S1 LM used a 4.3-liter V12 engine producing 710 hp (530 kW / 720 PS), paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
That setup made the 2,110 lb (957 kg) supercar incredibly quick.

The S1 LM was limited to just five units, and the first example sold for $20,630,000 at auction, setting a record.
It sounds like the new model will also be extremely limited, with full details expected on Friday.
Alongside the mystery car, Gordon Murray will display the Le Mans GTR, now a “fully operational development vehicle,” and a handful of customer-owned T.
50 supercars.
“I am looking forward to sharing our latest Special Vehicles creation with everyone attending The Quail and enthusiasts around the world,” said Gordon Murray.

He added that the company has been “working on something very special” and that he “can't wait for the covers to come off.”
