Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is moving deeper into its Infinity Castle trilogy, and the franchise has brought back one of its most beloved Hashira with a fresh illustration released for Kyojuro Rengoku’s birthday on May 10.

The anime series has remained in the spotlight for months following the theatrical run of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle in Japan. The first movie dominated the local box office for an extended stretch and stayed in theaters far longer than many expected after its release.

Now that the film’s run in Japanese cinemas has ended, the franchise has shifted attention toward the next chapter while also marking milestones tied to fan-favorite characters.

Ufotable unveiled new artwork featuring Rengoku to commemorate the Flame Hashira’s birthday, giving fans another look at the character ahead of the trilogy’s continuation.

Infinity Castle Part 2 Still Without Release Date

The second Infinity Castle movie remains in production, although no official launch window has been announced.

Earlier presentations from Ufotable confirmed the sequel would not arrive within the current year. The studio categorized the project among its future productions rather than its scheduled 2026 lineup, leaving the next film likely targeting a later release period.

Story details have also been kept under wraps. The upcoming movie is expected to continue directly from the closing moments of the first installment after Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps pushed through one of the arc’s major battles.

The first film concluded with Akaza’s defeat, resolving one of the central confrontations from Koyoharu Gotoge’s manga during the Infinity Castle storyline. With several large-scale fights still remaining, the sequel is expected to continue the conflict immediately from where the previous movie stopped.
