The Miami Dolphins reshuffled their roster on Thursday, May 21, 2026, by signing offensive tackle Marques Cox and running back Carlos Washington Jr.
The front office concurrently waived tight end Jalin Conyers and offensive lineman Braeden Daniels to create necessary roster space.

The moves come amid an aggressive franchise rebuild led by new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan.
Washington provides immediate backfield depth while running back De'Von Achane recovers from an undisclosed injury.
Achane solidified his long-term future with the franchise by finalizing a four-year, $68 million contract extension on Wednesday.
"Just put pen to paper," Achane said. "Excited to be here a few more years.

Passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo expressed high expectations for the dynamic running back ahead of organized team activities.
"He's so dynamic," Patullo said.

"That brings so much to the offense and really stresses the defense because he's not just playing running back.
It's going to be really exciting to get him out there once he's healthy and ready to roll."
Washington entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons in 2023, appearing exclusively on special teams during two career games across the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
Cox also entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2025, spending time on the practice squads of both the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals without recording any official game snaps.
Conyers, who earned All-Big 12 honors at Texas Tech, spent his entire 2025 rookie season on Miami's injured reserve list due to a foot injury.
Daniels, originally selected in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft by Washington, spent time on the Miami practice squad last season after stints with Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Washington will now compete for a permanent roster spot against Jaylen Wright, Ollie Gordon II, Donovan Edwards, DJ Herman, and Anthony Hankerson during the upcoming summer program.
