The New York Giants defensive line depth suffered a major blow on Thursday when defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris tore his Achilles tendon during the team's final organized team activities practice of the week.
According to reports by Dan Duggan of The Athletic and confirmed by Jordan Raanan of ESPN, the 32-year-old veteran is expected to miss the entire 2026 NFL season.

Robertson-Harris was entering the second season of a two-year contract signed in March 2025.
He started all 17 games last season, recording six quarterback hits and three tackles for loss.
The injury comes after a significant roster shakeup.
Prior to the 2026 NFL draft, the Giants traded star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals for the 10th overall pick.

With Robertson-Harris sidelined, the coaching staff will rely on Reader and Harris to anchor the interior defense.

Robertson-Harris originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2016.

He later played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2021 to 2023 and had a brief stint with the Seattle Seahawks in 2024 before joining the Giants.
