Doncaster Rovers have completed their second signing of the summer transfer window by bringing back defender James Husband on a two-year deal.
The 32-year-old left-back joins as a free agent after leaving Blackpool, with his contract set to start on July 1.

Husband originally came through the Leeds United academy before developing at Doncaster, where he made 73 senior appearances between his 2012 debut and his 2014 move to Middlesbrough.
He spent seven seasons at Blackpool, initially on loan from Norwich City in 2019 before making the move permanent in 2020.
The former Blackpool captain made 238 appearances for the club, scoring five goals and providing 13 assists.

Husband expressed his gratitude and desire to contribute to the club's future. "I was really young when I left.

I owe this place a huge amount for my whole career and I just want to come back and repay that to the football club and all the fans," he said.
Doncaster manager Grant McCann welcomed the returning defender, highlighting his familiarity with the club. "He had a really good spell here before.
He knows the football club and that's important, he knows the DNA of this club," McCann said.
Husband also thanked Blackpool supporters in a statement, recalling memories such as the 2021 Play-Off Final win over Lincoln City and derby victories at Bloomfield Road.

During his career, Husband also spent time at Middlesbrough, Fulham, Huddersfield Town, Norwich City, and Fleetwood Town before establishing himself at Blackpool.
