Chelsea is reportedly considering a player-plus-cash swap deal with Real Madrid that would send Enzo Fernandez to the Spanish capital and bring Arda Guler to Stamford Bridge.

The move comes after Xabi Alonso was appointed as Chelsea's new manager, as reported by FootballTransfers on May 29, 2026.

Fernandez is said to be keen on joining Real Madrid before the 2026-27 season, with club president Florentino Perez reportedly admiring the Argentine midfielder.

However, Chelsea has set an asking price of nearly €140 million, a figure Real Madrid is unlikely to meet without including a player in the deal.

Guler has emerged as a key candidate for the swap due to his strong relationship with Alonso.

The Turkish international played under Alonso during an eight-month stint at Real Madrid and recorded 20 goal contributions in 51 matches across all competitions in the 2025-26 season.

The 21-year-old midfielder previously expressed his gratitude toward Alonso in a social media post, thanking him for believing in him and helping him improve.

Guler also confirmed in an interview with TRT Spor that he remains in contact with Alonso after the manager's move to Chelsea.

Guler's future at Real Madrid could also be complicated if Nico Paz returns to the club from Como during the upcoming summer transfer window.
