Bayern Munich is actively working to acquire Saibari, prompting PSV to target the 22-year-old Japanese midfielder as a primary replacement.

The Eindhoven club previously attempted to sign Sano during the winter transfer window, but the deal fell through due to NEC's asking price of between €15 million and €20 million.

Sano recorded three goals and eight assists in 34 matches during his breakout season under manager Dick Schreuder.

FootballTransfers currently lists his estimated market value at €10.1 million.

The midfielder missed out on selection for Japan's World Cup squad, announced on May 15.

Before the announcement, Sano expressed his ambitions: "The World Cup is my biggest dream. That's why I know how important this season is.

I still have a chance to make the national team. I need to keep playing and gaining experience.

I want to make my dream come true."

Despite the World Cup omission, Sano remains open to joining PSV.
