According to Voetbal International and FootballTransfers, technical director Jordi Cruijff wants the 53-year-old Spanish coach to lead the reserve team in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.
Garcia's Brief First-Team Tenure
Garcia originally signed a contract until mid-2027 in February to coach the youth squad.
He was quickly promoted to the senior team after interim coach Fred Grim was dismissed.
During his ten games in charge of the first team, Garcia secured five wins, three draws, and two defeats.
He guided Ajax to a Conference League qualification spot through the play-offs.
Despite interest from other clubs, including Belgian side Anderlecht, Garcia has expressed his appreciation for the Amsterdam club.

said Garcia when asked about his desire to remain at Ajax after his final match with the first team.
The club hierarchy remains confident that Garcia will accept the position. They view his continuity as vital for developing young academy talents into first-team players.
Garcia had earlier indicated his comfort with the Dutch football environment during a media appearance.
"I would graag de rest van mijn carrière hier willen blijven," he said regarding his future in the country.
