The expansion Toronto Tempo completed a 14-point comeback to defeat the Connecticut Sun 106-102 in overtime at Coca-Cola Coliseum on Wednesday.
Brittney Sykes led the charge with 38 points, matching her career high, and made all 13 free-throw attempts.

Comeback and Overtime
Connecticut led 55-42 at halftime after a strong first half. Toronto chipped away in the third quarter and entered the fourth down 79-72.
Sykes hit four free throws in the final 79 seconds of regulation to force overtime. In the extra period, a collective defensive effort stalled Connecticut's momentum.
Sykes then made a go-ahead layup with 42 seconds remaining to secure the win.
Marina Mabrey added 21 points for Toronto, hitting three 3-pointers. Laura Juskaite contributed 19 points.

For Connecticut, Aaliyah Edwards scored a career-high 24 points in her first WNBA game on Canadian soil. Leila Lacau and Saniya Rivers added 12 points each.
The Sun dropped their fourth straight game, falling to a league-worst 2-12 record.
Toronto played without rookie guard Kiki Rice due to a left ankle injury. Connecticut was again without veteran center Griner due to a rib strain.

The Tempo improved to 4-2 at home and will visit the Washington Mystics on Friday. The Sun host the Indiana Fever on Saturday.
