San Antonio dominated the first quarter, scoring 41 points and building a 19-point lead.

The Spurs have held a double-digit advantage in the opening period of every game in the 2026 Finals.

The Knicks turned the game around in the second half, outscoring the Spurs 58-30.

Jalen Brunson led New York with 36 points, while OG Anunoby added 33 points on 10-of-15 shooting.

Wembanyama Nears Suspension

The game grew tense in the third quarter when Victor Wembanyama hit Karl-Anthony Towns in the jaw with his elbow.

Officials reviewed the play and assessed a Flagrant 1 foul, giving New York two free throws.

Wembanyama now has three flagrant foul points in the postseason, following a Flagrant 2 in the second round.

Under NBA rules, one more flagrant point would trigger an automatic one-game suspension.

SNY Knicks reported on the play, noting Wembanyama is one flagrant foul point away from a suspension.

The NBA had reviewed a shove by Wembanyama against Jalen Brunson in Game 3 but did not upgrade it to a flagrant foul.
