The Athletics went on to secure the series finale after hitting back-to-back home runs off Brewers reliever Chad Patrick in the seventh inning, spoiling a dominant six-inning start by rookie Brandon Sproat.
"I'm very pleased with him to go as long as he did," said Pat Murphy, the Milwaukee Brewers manager.
Murphy praised the rookie pitcher for navigating the difficult environment where baseballs carried exceptionally well.
"That's pretty good. Good start – a quality start.
He deserved to win," said Murphy.
Sproat lowered his ERA to 5.70 after limiting the Colorado Rockies and Oakland Athletics to four runs over 11 total innings during the road trip.
"Obviously, after watching the first few days, the ball flies here," said Brandon Sproat, the Brewers rookie pitcher.

The right-hander adjusted his mindset to handle the unique park conditions in Las Vegas.
"It's like, 'Hey, these are the conditions. It is what it is.'
For things to come out the best chance possible, I can't change anything. I can't pitch defensively.
I just have to attack," said Sproat.
Sproat conceded only one run on four hits over his six innings of work before turning the game over to the bullpen.
"I thought today went really well. Still got clipped," said Sproat.
The pitcher noted that high-scoring outputs were common for all teams visiting the stadium during the series.
"I guess I couldn't leave here without joining everybody else," said Sproat.
