Former two-division champion Alex Pereira will face top contender Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight title at a historic event.
The bout takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington D.

It is part of UFC Freedom 250, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Interim Title Fight
The winner of this co-main event will secure the interim belt and set up a unified title match against official champion Tom Aspinall.
Aspinall remains sidelined following multiple eye surgeries, according to reports.
Pereira weighed in at 113.9 kilograms for his heavyweight debut, out-weighing Gane, who tipped the scales at 112.5 kilograms.
The Brazilian fighter appeared in traditional attire of his native Pataxó indigenous tribe during the outdoor weigh-in.
Fighters' Reactions
"I feel very happy to be able to fight against Alex Pereira in a place as symbolic as the White House," stated Gane, the French heavyweight contender.

The former French Muay Thai champion expressed excitement about facing a strong opponent with a novel fighting style at the historic venue.
"Always it is a pleasure to face a strong with a new style," Gane added.
Pereira, known for his devastating knockout power, looked to history as he attempts to become the first fighter in UFC history to win championships across three different weight classes.
"Agradezco a todos los que han venido hoy a este lugar," said Pereira, addressing the crowd.
The audience responded by chanting his signature slogan, 'Chama'.
