Abus Magomedov secured a first-round technical submission victory over Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC Fight Night 280 in Baku on June 27, 2026.
The middleweight bout ended at the 3:25 mark of the opening round after Magomedov rendered Oleksiejczuk unconscious with a guillotine choke.

Magomedov stunned his opponent with a counter elbow before transitioning to the fight-ending submission on the canvas.
Victory and Callout
The win allowed Magomedov to bounce back from a defeat in his previous outing while snapping Oleksiejczuk's three-fight winning streak.
Following the referee's intervention, Magomedov used his post-fight interview to target his next preferred opponent.
"It was one of our game plans to catch him coming in – it works," Magomedov said. "I knew he was a tough guy.

When I got his neck, I knew he was going to tap or go out."
The middleweight contender then expressed his desire to face a former divisional champion in his next octagon appearance.
"I hope Mick (Maynard) is going to give me that fight. I want to fight with Israel Adesanya.

We are almost at the same level. Hopefully I can get that fight after this performance," Magomedov added.
