Cardi B alleged during a recent livestream on X Spaces that one of her former partners threatened to commit suicide and made death threats against her after their relationship ended.
The 33-year-old rapper reflected on past relationships and public reactions to her personal life, noting a pattern of volatile behavior from her ex-partners.
“You see what happens when a b**chs really leaves,” Cardi B said during the broadcast.
She questioned why her former partners, who allegedly cheated during the relationship, did not stay with the women they had affairs with but instead reacted drastically to her departure.
“Why they not with them? Why they don't be with them when I leave?”
she asked.
“They getting brand new bitches. Why did they be crashing out over me?
Since it's only because of my name. Since it's only because I'm Cardi B.
Then it's like why y’all damn near want to f**king kill yourself, and y'all seeing it in real time, everybody seeing it in real time,” she added.
Although Cardi B did not name the individual, the remarks drew attention due to her ongoing legal disputes with estranged husband Offset, as reported by Hot97 and Tribune.
Previous Allegations Against Offset
In a prior X Spaces conversation in March 2025, Cardi B explicitly accused Offset of harassment and threats after she shared text message screenshots with his rumored girlfriend, Melanie Jayda, according to E!
News.
“This guy upset because I sent his girlfriend messages of him begging me—begging me saying he’s gonna take away his life, begging me saying he’s gonna take away my life,” Cardi B claimed.
“All that s–t, he was mad,” she added.
The singer also detailed digital harassment she faced during that dispute: “This man sent text messages to somebody that I was dealing with of me and him having sex.
That’s the type of s–t I’ve been dealing with.”
The latest statements come as divorce proceedings between Cardi B and Offset continue following her initial filing in 2024, where she requested primary custody of their children.
Earlier this year, a judge denied a request from Offset demanding a paternity test for Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ child as part of the ongoing divorce litigation, according to Yahoo.
