Zimbabwe and Bangladesh are set to clash in a one-off Test match starting June 28, 2026, at the Harare Sports Club.

The fixture marks a new chapter for Zimbabwe as they step onto the field without several key senior players.

Fast bowler Richard Ngarava will captain Zimbabwe for the first time in Test cricket, following the resignation of Craig Ervine last December.

The hosts enter the match after an innings victory over Afghanistan in October 2025.

However, the squad will miss all-rounder Sikandar Raza, who is currently playing in the T20 Blast in England.

To strengthen the lineup, selectors recalled 39-year-old leg-spinner Graeme Cremer for his first Test appearance since 2017.

Domestic standouts Innocent Kaia, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wesley Madhevere, and Newman Nyamhuri have also been included.

Bangladesh Face Key Absences

Bangladesh arrive on the back of successive series wins over Pakistan, but captain Najmul Hossain Shanto must navigate significant squad absences.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Litton Das is sidelined with a calf injury, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nahid Rana, and Taskin Ahmed have been rested for this fixture.

The visitors are expected to hand a Test debut to batsman Towhid Hridoy, who has already made over 100 limited-overs appearances.

Mahidul Islam is set to take over wicketkeeping duties.

The slow surface at Harare Sports Club has hosted only one Test match in the past five years, setting up an unpredictable five-day encounter between the two familiar nations.
