Bradford City has completed the signing of center-back Macaulay Gillesphey from Charlton Athletic for an undisclosed fee, the League Two club announced on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old defender has agreed to an initial two-year contract, becoming the Bantams' fifth summer addition.

Gillesphey's arrival comes as a swift defensive reinforcement following Curtis Tilt's departure to Burton Albion earlier this week.
Experienced Defender with Promotion Pedigree
The Ashington-born player brings substantial English Football League experience, having made over 100 appearances in League One.
He achieved back-to-back promotions to the Championship, winning the League One title with Plymouth Argyle in 2022-23 and scoring the decisive goal in the play-off final for Charlton against Leyton Orient in 2024-25.
A product of Newcastle United's academy, Gillesphey previously logged 96 league games for Charlton.

His early career included loan spells at Carlisle United before a permanent move there, followed by a stint with Brisbane Roar in Australia.
Gillesphey expressed his excitement about joining the club, praising the stadium and the manager's vision.
Bradford City manager Graham Alexander highlighted the defender's winning mentality and ability in possession, stating that Gillesphey was determined to join the Bantams.
