The Democratic Republic of Congo pulled off a stunning upset in the World Cup Round of 32, defeating England 1-0 on Wednesday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Brian Cipenga scored the decisive goal in the seventh minute, securing a historic victory for the African nation in their first-ever meeting against the Three Lions.

DR Congo's defensive strategy, marshaled by former England youth international Aaron Wan-Bissaka, successfully resisted England's continuous pressure, including a Marcus Rashford shot cleared off the line in the 34th minute.
The result marks the greatest soccer achievement for DR Congo, who returned to the tournament after a 52-year absence since their debut as Zaire in 1974.
Underdog Mentality
Before the knockout fixture, England manager Thomas Tuchel acknowledged his team's status as clear favorites against the lower-ranked African squad.
"We face a team against whom we are favorites, while they can assume the role of underdogs.
It is important to accept all this, focus on what we can control, and deliver the best performance," Tuchel said.
Tuchel further emphasized that handling high expectations is part of competing at the highest level of international football.
"I think it is a privilege to experience such moments.
I believe we simply have to accept them: we are favorites and we play against our own expectations.
We expect to get past the Round of 32. So why shouldn't our fans expect the same?"
noted Tuchel.
